A
gravel driveway snakes through acres of grassy
fields as you approach Feather Ridge Equestrian
farm.
On both sides of the path, horses of various
colors and sizes frolic and gallop behind fences.
At the end of the drive, off Evans Dairy Road in Fayetteville,
are a brick home, a stable, and owner Jessie Best.
What once was a cow farm and mustang rescue ranch is now
an equestrian farm where children — and adults — can learn
the finer points of riding horses.
Best and training partner Meg Raynor work as instructors
and live on the farm. ey work long hours seven days a week,
rotating on Sundays so each can enjoy a day off every two
weeks.
Jessie Best offers training, lessons and boarding at
Feather Ridge Equestrian.
