With shimmering lakes, waterfalls and streams flowing throughout Bella Vista, plus public pools, water is a major part of the beauty and recreation opportunities here. THE PRIVATE LAKES e seven private lakes in Bella Vista offer plenty of opportunities for water sports, angling and fun. Four of them are "no wake" lakes, perfect for fishing and quiet paddling. Others offer boat rentals and are great for water skiing. All of the lakes are regularly managed, water quality tested, and stocked with game fish. Use of the Bella Vista lakes is available to all Bella Vista property owners and their guests, and to the public for a small fee. Visitors who are renting a home or townhome in Bella Vista can purchase a guest permit to use the lakes during their stay. No motorized personal watercra (wave runners), houseboats or float planes are allowed on any lakes in Bella Vista. A current state and P.O.A. boat registration is required before using any boat on the lakes. An Arkansas fishing license is required to fish on all Bella Vista lakes. Loch Lomond Full Speed Boat Sport Lake Water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, fishing • e newest and largest lake in Bella Vista, completed in 1982. • Motorized fishing and pontoon boat rental is available at the Marina, at (479) 855-8182. Lake Ann Full speed boat sport lake Water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, fishing • Uniquely scenic shoreline, with prominent limestone bluffs and rocky outcrops Lake Avalon No-wake lake Fishing, slow boating • e largest of Bella Vista's "no wake" lakes • e lake also offers a white sand beach and swimming area, opened last spring, with kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals, a concession stand, picnic area, sand volleyball court and a play area with a low to the ground zipline. Lake Brittany No-wake lake Fishing, slow boating • Lake Brittany is unique in that it houses the association's first trout fishery Trout stocking began in December 2007 to create a winter fishery, providing members with enjoyable cold-weather fishing while the warm-water species lay dormant. Lake Norwood No-wake lake Fishing, slow boating • Located at Town Center, Lake Norwood is the most accessible and probably the most visited lake. • e "no wake" lake status, along with the wooded, undeveloped shorelines, make Lake Norwood a special, quiet get away for fishing, picnicing or paddling your kayak. Lake Rayburn No wake lake Fishing, slow boating • is lake houses an extremely high density of largemouth bass and a good bluegill fishery. Rayburn also houses a fairly unexploited population of good sized catfish. Lake Windsor Full Speed boat sport lake Water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, fishing • Leased shoreline mooring • Features three access areas, London Park, Windsor Dam and Windsor Park. Amenities include boat ramps, courtesy docks, fishing piers, picnic tables and grills, fish cleaning station and more. POOLS Along with lake swimming, Bella Vista has one indoor and two outdoor swimming facilities. e indoor pool is located at the Branchwood Recreation Center and the outdoor pools are at Metfield Park and the Kingsdale Recreation Complex. e outdoor pools open the Friday before Memorial Day and close on Labor Day. Aer schools open in August, the outdoor pools and Lake Avalon beach are only open on weekends.
