"One of our main selling points, I think, is that we are carefree living," said Renee Johnson, Office Manager at e Plaza. "We take care of the lawn care and all of the outside chores. "It is overseen by a board of directors and they all are resident members," Renee said. "Essentially, when someone buys into e Plaza they are buying a membership share in this non-profit," Renee explained. "at share is represented by your apartment. ere is a one-time cash buy-in and then an ongoing monthly maintenance fee. Our units vary in size from 800 to 1,800 square feet. Both the buy-in and monthly maintenance fees vary based on the size of your apartment." ere are numerous styles of private senior living residences available here. Residences have living room, bathrooms, and full-sized kitchens. e larger units have an additional den/office. e dining area at e Plaza at Highlands Crossing is a cozy, home style setting for residents and family members. eir specialty is customized menus with delicious, home cooked meals that meet the needs of all residents. "In- house we have catered meals by our chef three times a week," Renee said. "If you want to attend. you sign up and pay at the door. It's a great way for socialization." And socialization is one of the selling points of e Plaza at Highlands Crossing. "We have a very active community," Renee said. "We play bridge and have other resident-led activities. We also have a workout facility plus a workshop. So, if you have projects around the house or need some tools you are welcome to use them. We have a beautiful library with many books plus a DVD library." And of course, the Bella Vista location is the cherry on top. Medical facilities, outdoor activities, shopping and restaurants are all conveniently located nearby. "Residents are members of the Bella Vista Property Owners Association (POA) so they have access to the health clubs, pools, golf courses and more," Renee said. At e Plaza, every day is filled with endless opportunities for residents to enrich their lives, engage in favorite activities or pursue new ones. It's an atmosphere that gives residents inspiration to live their lives to the fullest. "I see the residents at the plaza being a family," Renee said.
