The Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony energized the crowd, and the significance of the moment was recognized through remarks by special guests University of Missouri President Dr. Mun Y. Choi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Bill Stackman, Curator Robin Wenneker, and Judy Ethell, ZA '80, who presented a colorful framed scarf from the Alpha Phi Foundation. Our partners in the project—Little Dixie Construction and Hawthorn Bank—were also on hand to take a bow, following the remarkable 14-month completion of the initial construction phase. And to set the tone for the day, Mini Marching Mizzou and our favorite mascot, Truman, brought the "party" to the reunion celebration for sisters from many generations. It was a festive event and the perfect opportunity to thank the many generous donors who are supporting the Sisterhood Begins at Home campaign to help finance the project cost. Following the ceremonies, alumnae and guests toured the new facility, admiring its spacious and contemporary gathering areas, study rooms, alumnae lounge, and "Phi Beach," which is HOW THE NEW HOUSE WAS FUNDED • Primary Lender: Hawthorn Bank of Columbia • Secondary Lender: Alpha Phi International • Our Generous Donors (Continued on page 2) Ladies of the '90s gather on the new front porch.
