A
ugust 14, 2022, was such an
exciting day for Kappa Delta. We
welcomed 139 new pledges and
were eager to help the women feel
right at home in Kappa Delta while
falling in love with The University of
Alabama.
We were quite busy at the beginning
of the semester with our Bid Day
retreat, a North River pool party, many
sisterhood events, surprises, and
meet-and-greet chats with the new
members. We also had weekly stage
meetings and a French-themed pajama
big/little reveal. These events were all
in preparation for our new members'
formal initiation, which was held on
Sunday, September 25.
The women enjoyed having themed
swaps with seven different fraternities
on campus, and we even hosted SAE
and Sigma Nu for dinner swaps at
the Kappa Delta house. Homecoming
was a blast as we all participated in its
many festivities, including our favorite,
the Homecoming parade, on Saturday,
October 22.
It has been such a pleasure seeing our
members make lifelong friendships and
call Kappa Delta their home. We always
look forward to seeing them at the
house, and we know they will continue
to enjoy everything Kappa Delta has to
offer during their time at Bama.
