I have had the opportunity to live at both 1904 Grandview and 801 Moro in my time as an undergraduate. I've seen the chapter win multiple President's Cups, set records in grades, and continue to grow with recruitment. I'm excited to share updates with you on how the year has gone for Delta Chi at K-State. ACADEMICS COME FIRST We finished the spring 2022 semester with a 3.45 GPA, putting us third out of 21 fraternities on campus. It's the second year in a row that we've been in the top three in GPA. No other fraternity at K-State can say this. Being a member of a social fraternity can be extremely time consuming, especially with events almost every week. So, it says a lot about the quality of guys in the chapter when they are able to prioritize school and manage their time efficiently to excel in academics. DELTA CHI CONVENTION In July, I traveled with my brothers to Convention in St. Louis. This was one of my favorite experiences so far in Delta Chi. I met brothers from across the country, and it really put in perspective how lucky I am to be in this fraternity. While at Convention, we were awarded our sixth President's Cup in the last seven years. That was an exhilarating experience to be able to share with not only the undergraduates but with the K-State alumni who also made the trip. The hard work that we put in pays off, and I am very proud of our chapter. SERVICE ON CAMPUS This fall, we took a K-State approach to community service. Brothers have spent multiple mornings volunteering in The Meadow, a community-built space around McCain Auditorium with walking paths and native species of the Flint Hills Ecoregion. We also spent an evening partnering with Students for Environmental Action on a campus cleanup project. 801 MORO EXCITEMENT The chapter was very eager to see how 801 Moro would turn out because they were excited to have a place to call their own. I believe the common space provides that to us in so many ways. We now have a professional space to meet, study, relax, recruit, and host events. It is setting us up for even more success so that, when I come back for the next anniversary, it will need more space for President's Cups. It was great to see many of you at the 60th Anniversary and Housing Dedication in Manhattan this October. I was able to meet alumni from six different decades and hear stories about how Delta Chi has impacted your lives. It was an amazing weekend, and if you weren't able to attend, I hope to meet you in 2023!
