They will have a group of local musicians performing, and Santa will also stop by. Kids, get your list ready! Parents, this is the perfect opportunity to get a free picture with Santa. CAPE FEAR REGIONAL THEATRE 2 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. In this hilarious classic, a couple strug- gling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids, probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem — and the fun — when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head-on! CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK ARNETTE PARK 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Christmas in the Park is celebrated at Arnette Park, a beautiful combination of developed facilities and natural woodland spanning 100 acres adjacent to the Cape Fear River. Remain comfortably in your vehicle and drive thru the park while taking in the sights and sounds of the Christmas season. This event will be open all month long. MONDAY, DECEMBER 5 THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1 ANNUAL MEMBER EXHIBIT CAPE FEAR STUDIOS 11 a.m – 5 p.m. Cape Fear Studios is pleased to announce its Annual Member Exhibit. This exhibit features the work of our member artists. Cape Fear Studios is a non-profit artists co-op in historic downtown Fayetteville that has been serving our community for over 33 years. The exhibit will be open to the public through Jan. 10. Cape Fear Studios is located at 148 Maxwell Street (next to the Transportation Museum) and is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 9 a.m. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4 FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 NO LIT SHERLOCK ARTS COUNCIL 7:30 p.m. Mystery, theatre, booze, and Shakespeare combine as everyone's favorite detectives get Sweet Tea's LIT treatment for the first time. Sherlock and Watson are trying to solve a crime so classic you might call it Shakespearean, but they stop for a few drinks along the way. Will you join them for a night of mystery and absur - dity, coupled with great music, drinking games, audience participation, improv, and not a few laughs? Elementary, my dear! ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING WADE COMMUNITY PARK 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Be sure to mark your calendars to join Fort Bragg during their 40th Annual Holi- day Tree Lighting Ceremony. The 24-foot North Carolina Fraser Fir is planned to be the center piece for the Holiday Tree Lighting event, which will officially kick off the holiday season for Fort Bragg ser- vice members, civilians and their families. Highlights will include performances from the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus and the Golden Knights, Santa and Mrs. Claus visit, a Winter Wonderland light display, face painting, cookie decorating, food and drink vendors, all culminating with the lighting of the holiday tree. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3 FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS STUDIO 215 4 p.m – 8 p.m. 'Tis the season for Christmas Cheer and giving back! "A Very Merry Christmas at the Studio" combines both of these things in one Christmas-filled evening. All ticket proceeds will be donated directly to the Wreaths Across America — Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. The ticket provides you with face painting, hot chocolate, coffee, s'mores, a photo booth, Christmas cookie decorating, Christmas movie viewing, letters to Santa and pictures with Santa. A portion of all food and beverage proceeds will be going to Wreaths Across America. Tickets are $20.
