Our kid hero this month is Makenzie Oldt.
She's 14 years old, and is a 9th grader at
Shiloh Christian School.
Makenzie lives in Bentonville with her
mom, dad, younger sister Kamille and four
dogs: a lab named Sawyer, a Yorkie named
Zoey and two Goldendoodle twins, Violet
and Milo.
Makenzie Ioves to sing, dance and perform
in musical theater, spin her flag with the
marching band, swim, and of course snap
with her friends. She's like many other high
school freshmen, except for one thing: she
has Type 1 diabetes.
