DAN'S ADVICE TO
ACTIVE BROTHERS
"When I started my career,
I remember my father saying
that I should make myself
indispensable to my employer. I
have looked for that quality in the
many people I have hired over the
years. It connotes a dedication
to the company and a desire for
mutual success."
"Beta instills the importance of trust, honesty, and a
true spirit of camaraderie," Dan said. "These ideals
apply in our personal and professional lives."
Not only has Dan applied those values directly to
his work: he also used them to give back to Theta
Delta by helping with the current Chapter House!
"Leading the design team for the new house was
one of the greatest honors of my career," he said.
We needed to accommodate the current demands
in fraternity housing design and plan for the future.
I'm super happy with the result and look forward
to the house serving Betas for decades to come."
Dan spent several years on the Theta Delta
Alumni Association Board and participated in
many Spring Roundups. While it's tougher to
participate directly while living in Fort Myers,
Florida, he enjoys reading about active chapter
and alumni news in the Theta Delta Dragon!
Dan and Mary have two children: Lauren (Pi
Beta Phi, Florida State) and her husband live in
Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and John lives with
his wife and two sons in Savannah, Georgia. Dan
loves to hunt and fish, returning to central Ohio
every deer season and visiting South Texas for
Rio Grande turkey season. "The fishing around
Sanibel Island [Florida] is spectacular!"
