FACE, the Founders Award for Chapter Excellence, is the highest award given by our Kappa Sigma National Fraternity. Only 30 of 300 Chapters receive this award each year. SUMMER HOUSELIFT Every year, the house corporation leads an effort to clean, patch, paint, and repair the house over the summer. Active members living in the house are required to completely vacate their room to allow the work to be done. It has been 11 years since our last major renovation, and the house is showing some wear. This summer, we replaced the cabinets and countertop at the breakfast bar in the dining room, replaced the last two electrical panels that were from the original house, and purchased new chairs for the dining room. ACADEMICS Congratulations to these Brothers who achieved a 4.0 GPA last semester: D'Tanyon Maxwell '18, Dalton Jayaraj '21, Cal Greiner '21, Keelan McPheeters '20, Eric Wilhelm '19, Nick Kelsch '19, and Noah Evans '18. Nice work! RECRUITMENT The university has recently built new dorms and set policies in place to ensure they get filled. Despite these challenges, our recruitment team, led by Evan Ratermann '18, recruited one of the largest classes on campus this summer with over 30 new members. This is quite an accomplishment! Thank you, Evan. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE A substantial number of students leave the university after their first year due to finances. The Beta-Chi Educational Foundation is working with the university to expand our financial aid scholarships. The Beta-Chi Educational Foundation will place $50,000 into a university-managed fund, and the university will match this with another $50,000. This fund will be invested by the university, and the proceeds will be available to our members in financial need. If you would like to support these financial aid scholarships, which directly benefit Beta- Chi active members, please donate here: tinyurl.com/ BetaChiFoundation. THANK YOU, ALUMNI! I'm always impressed and thankful for the generous support of our Beta-Chi alumni! We are all grateful for to the Beta-Chi alumni for their continued support of the Chapter and our undergraduate members. Thanks again. We are looking forward to another great year. Fraternally, Robert Hoffmann '78 Alumni House Fund President roberth@hoffmannbros.com (314) 537-3193 Bettering Beta-Chi
