CHAPTER GRAND
Arthur Rice '68 entered Chapter Grand
on September 18, 2021. Arthur was a
Barrington High School graduate, and he
earned a history degree from DePauw
before serving in the Army Reserves for
five years.
Arthur found a career in publishing after his
Army service, and he worked his way up
to chairman of Applied Technology Media
after his initial retirement. He was also
heavily involved in his community, church,
and high school in Barrington. Art always
worked hard to raise the spirits of those
around him, and he leaves a legacy of
compassion and community service.
He will be remembered as a loving
husband to Lynn Alice Davies Rice, a
devoted father of three, a grandfather, a
brother, and an uncle.

Bill Powell '57 remains active and healthy
in Naples, Fla., and he keeps contact with
Phi Delta Theta. In his spare time, Bill
enjoys golf, shooting skeet, and singing
with a barbershop quartet and chorus.

Gene Lawrence, M.D. '60 retired at age
84 after 52 years as an OBGYN. The
OB department at Hoag Hospital had a
retirement party for Gene, where they
lovingly nicknamed him "The Legend."
Gene recently moved to Beaumont, Texas.

Dave Pomeroy '60 resides in Las Vegas,
Nev., and he volunteers weekly with the
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern
Nevada. His wife, Ann, takes ballet lessons
five days a week. Dave is the Pastor
Emeritus of the Las Vegas United Church

Dr. Charles Hermann '60 resides in
College Station, Texas, where he serves
on various local boards. Charles was
honorary pallbearer for President George
H.W. Bush, as Charles worked with him
when he was director of Bush School of
Public International Affairs at Texas A&M

Tim Feemster '68 is still working in
his consulting firm, Foremost Quality
Logistics, while living in Dallas, Texas.
His wife, Gretchen Benedek Feemster,
and daughter, Melissa, are also DePauw

Dai Fujikawa '83 lives in Tokyo, Japan,
and began a new career as a professional
music composer after 38 years in
investment banking. You can find his music

Don Heatherly '87 opened a new
company, HK Private Client LLC, in 2022.
The company is a customized wealth
management, planning, and investment

Texas. His sons, Ethan and Stuart, are
juniors at Mississippi State University.
