The following restrictions are sched- uled to occur nightly from Work is scheduled to occur from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. starting Monday, Sept. 26, and end- ing Dec. 15: SR 95 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel between Cheme- huevi Avenue (milepost 144) to Bea- con Road (148). Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph. The restrictions will be made in 3- mile increments. The restrictions are needed as crews replace the pavement as part of the State Route 95: Chemehuevi Avenue to Beacon Road pavement preservation proj- ect. (Parker Dam Road from SR 95 to Parker Dam) The work consists of replacing the existing asphaltic concrete friction course and spot repairs by milling and replacing it with new asphal- tic concrete. The work also includes application of chip seal on the spur, fog coat in the shoulder area, apply- ing new pavement markings, in- stalling rumble strips, and complete other related work. Project Area The project is located on State Route 95, about 20 miles south of Lake Havasu in La Paz County. Construc- tion will take place between mile- posts 155 and 161. What to Expect Construction is scheduled to begin late fall 2022 and continue through spring 2023. Drivers should expect possible delays throughout the project and should consider alternate routes. Night work is scheduled to occur from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.
