Robinson. … Lamar fell just short of winning its first conference title since 2008 with a loss to Ozark. … FB/LB Damien Hendrix returns after earning all league honors making a big impact both ways. … Hendrix had 143 carries for 706 yards and 7 touchdowns last year and will be asked to run it even more this season. … On the other side of the ball, Hendrix finished with 53 tackles (16 for a loss) and had 5 sacks. … Warriors will run early and often behind Shayne Hampton, who earned all-conference honors last year. … Jarrett Dalton led Lamar with 89 tackles to go with 4 sacks last year from his linebacker position. … Sophomore Caleb Green, who guided the JV team to a 6-3 finish last year, is the leading candidate to play quarterback. … WR Lane Miller hasn't played football since the 8th grade but has turned heads in practice with his athleticism.
