The youngest riders (2-4 years old)
raced their hearts out in The Strider
Cup. Older kids (4-7 years old) took on
the Strider Adventure-Cross.
The Strider Adventure-Cross race was
designed for kids who would rather go
over rocks and through puddles than
around them!
This race was a combination of
running, riding in balance mode, and
pedaling all in one epic race—a lot like
a Cyclocross race, but with some fun
twists!
the 4- & 5-Year-
Old Race class
featured 14
racers. the top 4
finishers were:
1. Gus Holton
(Plate #104) of
Bentonville, AR
2. Ethan John Vista
(Plate #110) of Van Buren,
AR
3. Benton Jeter (Plate #108) of
Pea Ridge, AR
4. Maverick Simpson (Plate
#103) of Pontoon Beach, IL
the 6- & 7-Year-Old Race
class featured racers
from 4 different
states. the top 4
finishers were:
1. Jackson
Vandeventer
(Plate #114) of
Hastings, NE
2. Brennan Wendling
(Plate #113) of
Olivette, MO
3. Carson Kjergaard (Plate
#116) of Simpsonville, SC
4. Marlo Cummins (Plate #115)
of Norman, OK
It was a test of endurance
and skill, with lots of
obstacles—including tires, the
noodle monster, the dragon, a
tunnel, and Mount Scary Ramp! There
were four stages in the race:
Stage 1 – Running: From the starting
line, the racers ran approximately 800
feet (one lap with no bicycle)
Stage 2 – Balance Bike Mode: One
parent or guardian then handed off
the bike (in balance bike mode – no
pedals) to the racer to race on for
approximately 1600 feet.
Stage 3 – Pit Stop: Next was a Pit
Stop where one parent attached the
Strider 14X pedal kit onto the bike.
Stage 4 – Pedal Mode: After the
pedal kit was attached, the racers
continued on in pedal mode for another
approximately 2400 feet to the finish
line.
The course had a lot of obstacles and
challenges where the racers sometimes
had to dismount and lift their bikes
over something to be able to keep
going. It was an epic day for racers and
spectators!
