Congratulations Whorton Farms! out in farming is simple. "You gotta get your hands dirty," he said. "It's hard work but rewarding. You need to enjoy being outside and enjoy working with animals." Tyler adds, "Don't give up! At the end of the day, I sit back and I watch my kids play out in the yard or I see them working with their calves and, man, I don't wanna be any other place in the world. That's enough for me, just the simplicity of life, you know, it's just worth it to me." Tim also wants people who are consid- ering the farm life to know one important thing. "My wife was a city girl and she didn't realize what she was getting herself into," he said. "When you live on a farm you can never plan anything. Or you can plan all you want but livestock always takes precedence because you have to feed them, you have to take care of them. Sometimes you have plans but you've got a cow that's calving and you gotta go take care of that first. "My wife is a sweetheart and we've been married since 84," he added. "Tyler has been an absolute perfect son and never gave us a bit of trouble. We give all the glory and the praise to the good Lord 'cause he's blessed our family."
