Store will be closed for shopping the first full week of July. We will be closed Tuesday July 5th, Wednesday July 6th, and Thursday July 7th. We will do the same, for the first full week of August. Closed Tuesday August 2nd, Wednesday August 3rd, and Thursday August 4th. Get the idea? In September we will be closed Tuesday September 6th, Wednesday September 7th, and Thursday September 8th. We thought this would give our vol- unteers days off spread out through- out the summer months and still provide for customers' needs with- out too much of an inconvenience. A reminder we are now affiliated with Planet Green Recycle. You can bring in your ink cartridges, please no ton- ers and help save planet earth. You can also send them directly to Planet Green by requesting a free shipping label, use our code 31940, and help raise funds for Quartzsite. New cards provided monthly with fun prizes, too. June's card is due July 2nd by Noon. We have donated $10.00 gift certifi- cates for the raffle prize drawing. With the hot temperatures we are experiencing now, we will begin of- fering a bottle of cold water. Hydra- tion is so important here in the very hot desert. Take care of each other and check on your neighbors as well. Looking for quality like new adult helmets? We have quite a selection available and priced to sell. We also have some motorcycle leathers in great shape. It is amazing the qual- ity of our donations. Also have sev- eral name brand purses and packs. Have a selection of ladies' size 8 shoes with a build in right shoe sole lift of about 1 inch. There are san- dals, dress loafers, Harley -David- son and Columbia boots. Please help us find someone that could benefit from these special shoes. Thanks. Thanks to our volunteers Mary, Buzz, Bill, and Martha, all our clothing racks are organized and la- beled by size and our porch area is enclosed with a clear tarp and a wa- terline for our cooler. We do have a large evaporative cooler to pro- vide a cool area for porch shopping and the donation corner before you enter the store. Thanks, awesome team members. Looking for a task to do at home?? We always have bags that need to be laid out and flattened for us. Holly really appreciates that help. We always have free shoes, socks, and miscellaneous items out front of store and a free clothing rack and food available daily too. If you like to check out small appli- ances, electronics, etc. We could re- ally use a volunteer in that area. We provide all the tools and necessary cleaning products. We even have pizza, and ice cream now and then, too. Cool air-conditioned area and we do have fun. I will wait for your call or come in and see me. Thanks! This new program will help you: ●Develop an Attitude of Creative Indifference toward your emotional stress. ●Deal With the 3 F's of Flipping Out. ●Tame Your Anger Monster. ●Give Caregiver Guilt the Boot. ●Deal With Depression. ●Manage Grief. ●Get Your Ducks in a Row. ●Manage Dementia-Related Behav- iors. ●Create a Plan for Self-Care. You will laugh more than you cry at the story-based videos. You will discover that you are not alone, that having negative feelings doesn't make you a bad person, and you will love connecting with other caregiv- ers in small-group breakout ses- sions. The CaregiverHelp WACOG pro- gram is free and open to any care- giver who needs a little emotional support to get through a difficult day or a sleepless night. Meetings are offered every-other Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at BHC Senior Center and via Zoom.
