What designs or collections have been your most popular? Our convertible collections such as our Carousel collection and our Secret Garden collection have been performing very well. Our collectors love having the choice to wear one piece in many di- erent ways. Are any jewelry trends, fashion, color or style forecasts a ecting your designs for the coming seasons? We are adding new, easy to wear colored stone rings that are all bezel-set. • e majority of our new collections are all bezel-set in the last 2 years. It makes the jewelry more casual while still being very chic. How are you preparing for Vegas market week this year? Working like crazy with our crafts people on new pieces. I found wonderful gemstones and materials in Tucson this year, to complement our pearls, and coral! What designs or collections have been your most popular? Our best collections are • e Bubble Collection by Sean Gilson for Assael, "• e Colors," which pairs pearls with gemstones to bring out their undertone colors. And, classic strands are selling very, very well! Are any jewelry trends, fashion, color or style forecasts a ecting your designs for the coming seasons? Overall, pearls have been the biggest accessory mega trend for the last few years, so we have been encouraged to do more and more with our pearls. • e success of our "Colors Collection" is still driving us to use color and the demand for unusual materials has an a- ect. Finally, pearls with diamonds have become more important again! You'll see new ideas in this combo in our windows. Your "signature" in jewelry? Anything and everything with magni• cent pearls! And of course your wardrobe essentials for market week? Ugh. Don't ask. What is your "signature" in jewelry? Our curved New Moon earrings have been our best sellers since 1979! • ey have an in-and-out curve, and (the design) comes in many diamond sizes. Patricia, my sister, loves saying, "If you have gorgeous earrings on, that brings light to your face and you don't need any Botox!" And, of course your "wardrobe essentials" for market week? Previously I wore dresses and skirts to the shows but now that heels have become an issue, I mostly wear printed Palazzo pants paired with a cute top. Now I started buying cool sneakers with platforms since I am so petite.
