Tom Sprich III '53 has enjoyed 68 years of
marriage with his wife, Tina. They live in a
condo just outside of Grand Rapids, Mich.,
and their son is nearby in Grand Rapids. Their
daughter lives in a Detroit suburb.

Ken Schaefer '63 has been living in Anaheim
Hills, Calif., since 1975. He is enjoying
retirement from his Industrial Rubber Seal
Co. (Spec Seals) that he started in 1984 and
sold to Boyd Corporation in 2016 (now owned
by Goldman Sachs). Ken enjoys golfing
twice a week and traveling with his wife,
Susan—sometimes with a few of their eight

Jim Gerlach '66 is an avid cyclist living in
Canyon Lake, Texas. He typically rides up to

Nick Stein '82 resides in Northfield, Ill. He
remains active in the construction and real
estate industries in the Chicagoland area while
managing the skilled care required for his
son. He enjoys occasional golf trips or snow
skiing when he has a chance, and he remains
connected to about 20 alumni brothers who
roamed The Lodge in the '80s through a text

Damon Skinner '88 moved from Los Angeles
to Oceanside, Calif., in September 2020.
Damon works mostly from home for Merrill
Lynch, while Paola is a program specialist for
the city of Oceanside.
