Accord- ingly, she heads off to a beautiful, stress-free island in the Caribbean, but almost im- mediately runs into a screw- up involving the house she rented for her stay. Once that gets resolved, however, Jade finds herself falling under the spell of her home's enigmat- ic owner, Ford (Ser'Darius Blain), in this 2022 romance. 8 p.m. on HBO Movie: The Card Counter Writer-director Paul Schrader earned mostly enthusiastic reviews for this 2021 crime thriller, which stars Oscar Isaac in the central role of William Tell, a gambler who taught himself how to count cards while serving an eight- year stint in a military prison. Now a free man, William tries to fly under the radar in casinos by winning smaller jackpots that don't attract notice. In Atlantic City, he's approached by a young man (Tye Sheridan) seeking Wil- liam's help to gain revenge on a common enemy (Willem Dafoe). 8 p.m. on LIFE Movie: Dirty Little Secret At 17, Lucy (Lizzie Boys) has spent the past few years in painful self-isolation from her peers. She can't allow friends into her home lest they discover a shameful family secret: Every crevice inside the residence is filled with her mother Joanna's (Melissa Joan Hart) moun- tain of stuff acquired via her hoarding disorder. To outsiders, Joanna seems like a highly functioning nurse, but her obsessive behavior is readily apparent once behind closed doors. A tragedy forces Lucy to con- sider exposing this domestic nightmare. 9 p.m. on A&E First Blood This new true-crime docu- series looks at some of the most notorious serial killers in American history through the lens of their first murder, which may reveal what drove them to that violent moment. Among the murderers profiled in this 10-episode presenta- tion are Richard Ramirez (aka the Night Stalker), Ed Kemper (the Co-ed Killer) and Robert Hansen (the Butcher Baker).
