Located at 346 Main Street in beautiful Los Altos, CA, IKB is a high-quality residential design-build firm. Originally known as Ilona Kitchen & Bath, current owners Amy Valley and Chris Pandolfo are proud to continue the client-focused, high-quality design and remodeling work the IKB team has provided to its Sil- icon Valley clients since 1993. As a youth, Chris worked alongside his grandfather remodeling homes. As a young man, he chose to attend Stanford and MIT earning his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Man- agement. Aer working for Google, his roots were calling him back to the construction industry, and wouldn›t you know it, he is applying his eye for detail to the many facets of remodeling homes. And, as they say, it›s all in the details. If you have ever taken on a small home project only to have it somehow morph into many larger proj- ects or turn into a nightmare because of unanticipated problems, you›ll understand the need for a general contractor with the project management capability and end-to-end design and construction skills to anticipate and solve most of the problems before the project even starts. This is what IKB's design-build approach is all about. Designers engage with clients to fully plan every aspect of a project. The build team helps make sure the designs will work in the field. And the designer stays engaged all the way through giving clients a consistent interface and helping to ensure every project is built as designed. Fully planned projects result in realistic fixed price bids and more projects that complete on or ahead of schedule - as opposed to the horror stories more typically told about many residential general contractors. Even during the COVID pandemic, IKB has continued to remodel homes using the design-build pro- cess. IKB's attention to detail has helped keep its clients safe while continuing to provide projects that are "Beautifully Designed - Built to Last". ikbinc.com (650) 941-4384 BEST OUTDOOR EVENT/ FESTIVAL: Mountain View Art and Wine Festival The vibrant, magnificent city of Mountain View has evolved in a big way over the last 50 years, This includes a popu- lation boom, the arrival of Shoreline Amphitheater as a ma- jor concert venue, the amazing growth of Silicon Valley and Mountain View's emergence as its epicenter and the trans- formation of a vibrant downtown district with restaurants, shops, cafes, bookstores and performing arts center.
