BETA THETA PI Kansas State University P.O. Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested 500 Sunset BUILDING ON THE LEGACY A s we work with the young men, they have several challenges facing Gamma Epsilon and 500 Sunset. We have been able to manage thanks to great leadership from the chapter and house corporation, but 500 Sunset is showing her age. In addition to general infrastructure updates (it's still the same boiler!), our brothers are in dire need of upgraded Wi-Fi and technological capabilities, increased study space for individuals and groups, and more common space to build brotherhood. Many of our peers have completed renovations recently (see box), and although our house is still functional, we need to modernize our facility. You will be receiving a brochure soon that outlines the entire project; we need your help to ensure we continue to recruit men who will lead Gamma Epsilon forward. There is full support from the alumni leadership, and chapter behind this endeavor, and our current brotherhood is very much worth supporting. With the help of the advisors and housing corporation, we expect our brothers to take several big steps forward this year. Among them is, a strong accountability program that ensures brothers who damage the facility are held responsible for the costs associated, and a renewed focus on a positive, developmental new member experience that enhances all our members and helps build relationships throughout the chapter, not just within the pledge class. With over $1.5 million in secured commitments, we are off to a fantastic start on this campaign, and our current financial standing allows us to begin the addition this spring. We need to raise an additional $1.5 million to fully renovate 500 Sunset during the summer of 2023. While our initial project goal is $3 million, we know that, with the help of every alumnus, we can eclipse that amount and cover the entire $4 million project cost. Competitively, we want to raise more than any fraternity at K-State! To do that, we need all Gamma Epsilon alumni giving at their highest level. A Legacy of Leading Over $1.5 Million Committed!
