Ms. McCain focuses her practice on tax, estate planning, and business transactions. Before starting her own firm, she worked with a boutique law firm in Venice, Florida. Prior to this, she was the Director/ Lecturer of University of South Dakota School of Law's Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) in Vermillion, South Dakota. She taught the LITC class, which focused on teaching students how to represent clients before the IRS, as well as the bar exam tested course of Secured Transactions. Concurrent to this, she continued to run her previous law firm, McCain Law Firm, out of the Nashville, Tennessee area. Ms. McCain received her LL.M. in Taxation from University of Denver and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Florida Coastal School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the States of Florida, South Dakota, and Tennessee, and registered to practice before United States Tax Court and District Court of North Dakota. Ms. McCain is an active member of the Collection Due Process (CDP) Summit Initiative of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Taxation, where she is the Chair of the Judicial Committee. The CDP Summit Initiative focuses on improvements that can be made to assist taxpayers, the IRS, and Tax Court in reaching better CDP. In addition to this, she will be featured as a chapter co-author in the 8th Edition of the ABA Section of Taxation's best-selling book, "Effectively Representing Your Client Before the IRS." This chapter will focus on CDP hearings. On a local level, Ms. McCain participates on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast and is on the board for United Way of South County. All of her free time is spent with her son, Sutton (age 5).
