Paul lived with his wife, Melissa, in Norwich Township, Ohio, and had two daughters, Erin and Sarah Grace. Paul and Melissa married in August 1992. Despite all these accomplishments and commitments, Paul always found ways to pay it forward to Beta Phi. He was truly one of the men who continued to build the Shelter into what it is today. He became a chapter advisor just four years after graduation, followed by service on the Alumni Supervisory Council as its chairman in 1991. In 2014, Paul was elected to the Beta Phi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta House Association. He was elected its president in 2016 and held that position until his recent retirement in 2021. Paul was also a member of the Beta Phi Education Foundation since 2016. For all that Paul accomplished for Beta Phi, he representative. He progressed as a salesman with various companies, where he won awards such as audio salesman of the year for the Panasonic Company in 1991 and 1992. In 1997, Paul was hired by National Sign Systems Cityscapes International and became the vice president of sales and marketing. He was involved in projects such as the new Ohio State stadium scoreboard logo and the Schottenstein Center Value City Arena illuminated hanging Block "O"s at all four entries. Paul was very active with Saint Agatha Catholic Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio. He held many positions in the Knights of Columbus Council, and as Grand Knight of the council, he received their highest award as a member of the Star Council in July 2021. (Continued from page 1) gained praise from alumni and undergraduates alike. Paul was awarded Beta Phi's Wall of Fame membership on December 10, 2021, at our annual Christmas luncheon. Paul is a prime example of why many are proud to say, "It's great to be a Delt." Tragically, we lost Paul earlier this year after a short but vigorous battle against cancer. While the Beta Phi Chapter, Beta Phi House Corporation, and International Delta Tau Delta Fraternity will miss Paul dearly, we will never forget and will always be thankful for the countless contributions that Paul made over his lifetime. TRAINING BETA PHI'S NEXT LEADERS As we are closing up the capital campaign, we are setting sights on our next initiative. In 2021, the Delta Tau Delta Education Foundation created the Paul Falkenbach Endowed Fund to recognize Paul's efforts to develop and inspire young Delts. This fund will support the PresX and Catalyst annual programs for undergraduate Delts across the country. We've already received leadership gifts from Bill McCloy, Chris Beem, Buck Byrne, and even Paul himself. We look forward to sharing more information on how you can get involved this fall. PAY IT FORWARD Remembering Paul Falkenbach '80
