Snyder Learning Center — a five-star, state-licensed center — encourages the development of Christian character in children by using sound curriculum taught in a manner that will make each child feel loved, wanted, cared for, safe and secure. A variety of instructional styles and learning opportunities are used so that children may successfully grow and handle the trials of life. In addition to its fundamentals in Christian learning, an emphasis is placed on age-appropriate language and literacy development, social and emotional growth, physical development and wellness, and creative expression. Children attend weekly chapel services, learn about helping others through mission and community service projects, and take part in Vacation Bible School each summer. Parents who attended Snyder Learning Center as children themselves now entrust the staff with the care of their own families. Director Heather Sweeting emphasizes that the true measure of success at Snyder Learning Center is rooted in its dedicated, diverse and highly trained staff. Their commitment to the development and well-being of the students is the reason Snyder Learning Center is such a special place for children and their families. Veteran teachers like Verenda Luttrell, Altisha Tillery, Yvette Bullard, and newer ones like Theresa Patterson and Cheryl Barnes, have been fostering young minds at the center for many years, and Lisa Hubbard and Marlene Johnson have been with the administrative staff for over 20 years each. A waitlist is available for infants through pre-kindergarten. School-age programs from kindergarten through age 12 are available after school and during the summer break. They are filling quickly.
