'm grateful for the opportunity to have served as philanthropy chairman this year. To get
a feel for the kinds of service projects we've done this past year, please see Reed's article
on page 2. In this brief blurb, however, I want to announce that, on September 9, we're
having a concert benefiting the Jake Ehlinger Memorial Scholarship Fund. We were devastated
by the untimely passing of Jake Ehlinger '19 on May 6, 2021, and as the Ehlinger family has
requested, we are directing donations to this scholarship fund founded in his name.
With a capacity of 1,500 people, we ask all who are able to give generously and purchase
t-shirts. If we can get underwriters to cover the costs, then 100% of the proceeds from this event
will go to the scholarship fund.
