The Animal Relief Fund will be sponsoring a rabies clinic from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, April 30, at the Town of Parker/La Paz County Animal Shelter, 309 7th Street. It's located behind Western Park. Rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats are $10. In addition to rabies shots, a 4-in-1 for dogs is also $10. This shot includes distemper, ad- enovirus 1 and 2, parainfluenza and parvovirus. There will also be 4-in-1 shots for cats. These are also $10, and they will cover rhinotracheitis, calici, panleukopenia and chlamydia. La Paz County dog licenses will also be available. All residents of La Paz County for 30 days or more must have their dog or dogs licensed. All animals must be on a leash or contained. Did you know? Voters that will be out of town or away from their resi- dence should contact their county recorder immediately so they can mail their ballot to their temporary mailing address. (Ballots are non- forwardable). Voter Registration closes 29 days prior to any election. Voter Regis- tration forms must be received by 11:59 p.m. JULY 5, 2022 to vote in the August 2, 2022 elec- tion. Once you are registered, you do not have to re-register unless you move, change your mailing ad- dress, change your name, or wish to change your party affiliation. Note: Due to a recent law change homeless veterans are now able to ac- cess a free ID from the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). A.R.S. § 28-3002 (14.B) reads "The fees established pursuant to this section do not apply to a veteran who does not have a resi- dence address or whose residence ad- dress is the address of a shelter that provides services to the homeless. For the purposes of this subsection, "veteran" has the same meaning pre- scribed in section 41-601." To check the status of your voter registration, or to con- firm if you are on the Permanent Ear- ly Voting List, https://www.azclean- elections.gov/register-to-vote As a result of a court order, effec- tive immediately and as of April 18, 2022, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) January 29, 2021 Order requiring masks on public transportation conveyances and at transportation hubs is no longer in effect. Therefore, CDC will not enforce the Order. CDC contin- ues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transporta- tion settings at this time. In addition, effective immediately, the Transportation Security Admin- istration (TSA) will not enforce its mask-related Security Directives. TSA is also withdrawing its Security Directive 1582/84-21-01E, which was issued on April 15, 2022, and was scheduled to take effect today.
