"We know the carnival during the fair is really important to the youth exhibiting and for many of our attendees it's the main attraction of the event," said Mr. Ashley Hays, President, Benton County Fair Board. "With so many entertainment options in our area now, we want our Midway experience to be top-of-the-line and unique." In addition to all of the traditional rides like tilt-a-whirls and Ferris wheels, the Miller Carnival has some rides not found anywhere else in the country. "My X-Scream ride is the only one in the world that exists," Freddy said. "It's a high- action thrill ride for the teenagers or any other folks who really want to get their adrenalin pumping. Another truly unique ride is called the Eclipse. There's only three of them in the world and mine is the only one in North America." Miller Spectacular Show will also bring their popular Surf's Up ride. "It's mild enough for the young ones while the teenagers love it too. Early during the afternoon, the ride usually has a lot of younger kids on it," Freddy noted. "And later in the evening it's loaded with all teenagers as the crowds transition. It's a big, giant surfboard that rocks back and forth over a 100-foot-long track. The main difference with this ride is you're actually standing up!" Once again this year, instead of having to purchase individual tickets or wristbands for the rides, there will be one flat fee to enter the fair during carnival hours and that fee will include unlimited access to all of the rides. "We're going to do a lower price with everybody coming through the gate paying $10 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and that price will include the rides," Freddy explained. "So a family of four is paying only $40 and everyone in the family can experience the carnival rides as much as they want." Friday and Saturday fees are $15 per person. Freddy's two grown sons, Trey and Drew, along with their wives, have joined the business, continuing the Miller Spectacular Shows into the fifth generation. They're proud to be carrying on the tradition and excited to see the happy faces in Northwest Arkansas when they bring their truly 'spectacular' show to the Benton County Fair.
