Anticipation—that means looking forward and
I'm looking forward to summer, vacation times
and the pages here fill me with all sorts of ideas
and topics that put a smile on my face starting
with Laughter Around the World. Amazing that
all those different jokes from different countries
all have the same punchline. Did you get it?
On my list of things to do is making a gravity
powered racecar. The page on Axles explains the
importance of creating an axle so the wheels will
move! Yep—that would be key!
I'm also planning to read Mark Twain's
classic story of The
Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
Tom got up to all kinds of
mischief with his friends Huck,
Joe and Becky. One thing I won't
do is sit in the sun to read now
that I understand the damage the
sun can do to skin. The page on
Sunburns explains all that.
And I'm not going to get too close to an Alligator
or a Crocodile. But at least I'll be able to tell the
difference between the two.
The page on Mangoes makes me think of
summer smoothies or ice cream topped with
mango. That is such a treat. And just for fun, the
Amusement Park Vacation has a ton of great
puzzles which makes me look forward to
summer even more.
Enjoy your summer vacation, wherever you are,
whatever your plans, have fun and laughter on
your vacation. Keep reading. It's
important to read throughout the
summer so that when school comes
around again, you're not behind and
you don't have to re-learn. We will
look forward to our next edition
when we can put pages together for
you again.
