Spring 2022
T
he Lambda House Corporation
Board had a very busy summer
overseeing the renovation of all
sleep and study rooms and corridors on
the second and third floors. This was an
ambitious 11-week construction project
that was completed on time and under
budget, and we are very pleased with
the results.
The renovated spaces offer a variety
of two-, three-, four-, and six-member
room occupancies, with updated
finishes and built-in wardrobes,
vanities, and workstations. Custom
fabricated bunk beds further enhance
the interior scheme and feature storage
drawers and bins, accessory trays,
and a custom finish to match the new
casework.
Mechanical and electrical systems were
replaced and reconfigured to maximize
ceiling heights, streamline technology
infrastructure, increase energy
efficiency, and improve thermal comfort
throughout. Additional life-safety measures
were also implemented, including the
extension of the fire protection sprinkler
system to cover the attic and replacement
of the antiquated fire alarm system.
We hope all our alumnae will have the
opportunity to visit the Chapter House
this year!
