Edmund Zapp '62 entered Chapter Grand on March 21, 2020. He became a social studies teacher after attending DePauw and Ball State and received his master's degree from the University of St. Francis- Fort Wayne. Ed taught world history and sociology before becoming a school administrator. After his official retirement in Indiana, he moved to Wickenburg, Ariz., where he served five years as a principal. He selflessly served his beloved Ktizo church, and he strongly supported Habitat for Humanity through volunteering and a ridiculous number of purchases. His love of trains and airplanes also brought him so much joy. Ed's survivors include his beloved rescue dog Gracie, his beloved wife of 56 years Diane Detwiler-Zapp, his daughters, and his twin grandsons. Thomas Gibson '72 entered Chapter Grand on December 23, 2020, after living with lymphatic cancer. Tom was born on January 23, 1950, and after graduating from high school in 1968, he went on to study Real Estate at Indiana University. In 2008, he graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Design Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate. Tom relocated with his family to Nashville, Tenn., in 1986, as a founding partner for Holladay Properties, where he pursed his passion for commercial real estate. He quickly became known as the "doctor of real estate" in Nashville. Tom was an accomplished horse rider and traveled the world on many equestrian expeditions with his partner Raquel. He was a loving father, grandfather, and partner. David Dillon '73 entered Chapter Grand on Friday, April 17, 2020, in Centerville, Iowa. David was born on January 16, 1951, in Lebanon, Ind. On December 31, 1987, he was united in marriage to Denise Scott at the Presbyterian Church in Green Castle, Ind. Following high school graduation, he furthered his education and earned a master's degree in education from DePauw University with a focus on composition and journalism. He taught English for many years while continuing his education in psychology and counseling at Drake University to complete his LISW. David practiced as a marital and family therapist and was a mental health clinic director until his retirement. David loved spending time with his children and their friends, and he was always eager for gatherings, whether it was a holiday or a routine Taco Tuesday with his grandchildren. His excitement about being with friends and the people he loved often elevated a hike outdoors or a board game into a memorable event. Those left to honor David's memory are his wife, Denise Scott Dillon, his daughters, son, and foster son.
