The character of a man is the greatest measure of his
potential. And in Delta Chi, developing character is a
core value and the cornerstone of the Fraternity.
For the past 16 years, we have seen a positive impact
when the chapter president participates in the "A"s'
Academy. The top five competencies developed
through "A"'s Academy were goal setting, effective
communication, critical thinking, reflective thinking and
meaningful relationships.
Yet, this transformational leadership development
program only reaches two percent of our undergraduate
brothers directly. The next evolution for Delta Chi is a
leadership institute.
We seek to develop programming where educational
tracks will meet each level of chapter leadership with the
training needed for those roles. The institute will impact
10 undergraduate brothers in every chapter each year.
This means that, throughout the typical four-year cycle
of an undergraduate, 80 percent of the members will
attend the leadership institute.
Further, we'll provide training to chapter advisors, who
provide consistency and coaching that pushes chapters
to achieve excellence.
Providing this dynamic programming will sustain and
elevate chapter operations. By investing in Delta Chi's
brightest leaders, we will arm them with best practices
in communication, financial management, product
development, and sales (recruitment). Done right, this
opportunity will even attract more high-caliber members
and open the door for the expansion of new chapters.
