Open the refrigerator door and hold your pinwheel
in front of the opening. Try holding the pinwheel
up high. Then try holding it near the floor. What
happens if you hold it in front of the freezer?
A breeze is caused by moving air. Cold air sinks
and warm air rises. When you open the
refrigerator, the cold air on the inside moves out
and sinks, pushing the warm air out of its way,
this causes a breeze that can spin your pinwheel.
