SYMPHONY ON TAP
GASTON BREWING COMPANY
Join the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra
for their first Symphony on Tap event of
2022 at Gaston Brewing Company's new
Taproom. Symphony on Tap is a new series with the goal to engage the commu-
nity through music and beer. Symphony on Tap events are free admission. The
FSO will feature their Principal Pianist, Dr. Scott Marosek, and their Associate
Concertmaster, Megan Kenny.

SONG WRITERS IN THE ROUND
FAYETTEVILLE BAKERY & CAFE
7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Hear original works from local artists and
show your support for their talent. This
show, originally scheduled for Jan. 21, was
postponed and will now take place on Jan. 28. This free event will feature artists
Michael Daughtry, Judah Marshall and Andy Lane. The artists will be doing a
round robin performance filled with original music. Come out and support local
musicians and a local business.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 29
FAYETTEVILLE MARKSMEN
CROWN COMPLEX
6 p.m.
The Fayetteville Marksmen will be playing
against the Pensacola Ice Flyers in a
special Star Wars themed night. As
Yoda predicts, "Fun you will have," as the
Marksmen look to blast the competition on Star Wars night. The first 1000 kids to
enter the game will receive a free lightsaber. Tickets range from $10 to $30 and
can be bought on the Fayetteville Marksmen website. Following the game, there
will be free skating and a jersey auction. The game is being sponsored by the
Salvation Army.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 29
THE ARTILLERY SLAM EDITION
ARTS COUNCIL OF FAYETTEVILLE
7:30 p.m.
The Artillery Slam Edition will be hosted
by Grammy award winner, Bluz. The event
will feature the talented, Shenika "Verse"
Whitefield, from Boston, Massachusetts. The slam showcases 12 skilled poets

DIRTBAG ALES BREWERY

Join Dirtbag Ales for this witty, fun yoga
practice. A healthy mind and body can
provide the balance you need in our fast-

levels. Motivate, laugh and move through different poses. Please bring your own
mat. This event will be held in the taproom. Tickets will be available the day of
the event at the brewery and are $12. The ticket includes one handcrafted beer.
EXPLORING HUMAN TRAFFICKING
METHODIST UNIVERSITY

Dr. Dean Duncan, a research professor at
the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill School of Social Work, will be speaking
about the impact of Human Trafficking in
North Carolina. Duncan led Project NO
REST, a five-year initiative funded by the Children's Bureau to address the
trafficking of youth age 25 and younger in North Carolina. This is the last event
of the Child Advocacy Center's speaker's series about Human Trafficking.
