FKQ XICLONE PHI KAPPA THETA FRATERNITY n IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY n WINTER 2022 THE TRANSFORMATION BEGINS Alumni BoArd looks ForwArd to An Exciting YEAr A s we embark on this new adventure, it is the brotherhood that makes all things possible. The alumni board recently called upon alumni to lend their time and expertise to this ambitious effort. With no surprise, many of you answered that call. Including the eight newly-elected Alumni Chapter board of directors, 55 brothers stepped up to the plate and offered to serve in some capacity on boards and committees. It is this group that will lead Phi Kappa Theta Iowa Xi into this transformative phase to become something bigger and better than our predecessors could ever imagine. For that, we are truly grateful To better manage the multiple initiatives that are planned, several formal committees were either created or expanded to meet these needs. These groups will handle various tasks and initiatives, including: • Continuing the work of the Victor Gift Committee to execute recommendations, ensuring continued success and growth. • Developing the annual appeal campaign, the memorial giving program, and a new planned giving program. • Collecting historical data in preparation for our next big milestone celebration, the 100th anniversary of Iowa Xi in 2024. • Revamping our alumni website and how we engage with our alumni. • Enhancing and maturing operations through the implementation of new tools and processes. This is just the beginning, and we have a lot of work ahead of us! It is not too late to get involved. If you want to serve on a committee or have a specific interest or expertise to offer, please let us know and we will find a place for you. On a final note, with the recent passing of Greg Stein '72, a fundraising memorial dinner is planned in Ames on April 23rd in coordination with the national Fraternity and national Foundation. Proceeds will establish a permanent endowment in Greg's name at Iowa Xi. Alumni from around the United States will be invited to attend and donate. The memorial dinner will be the keynote event for Brotherhood Weekend. Alumni are invited to all events.
