Got something to share? In Memoriam MICHAEL JEWITT Michael Harold Andrew Jewitt, born May 30, 1943, passed away on November 20, 2021, from com- plications of a stroke. Mike was born in the United Kingdom. At the age of 13 his parents and 5 broth- ers moved to Boston, MA. Mike held various jobs as a butcher, bank teller, and enlisted in the US Navy. Upon leaving the service, Mike moved to California and be- gan his airline career. Eventually retiring after 35 years with North- west Airlines. While working for the airlines, he traveled the world to include Australia, Thailand, Amsterdam, and even back to the United Kingdom several times. Mike was a true hobbyist. He was an avid HAM radio operator, with radio contacts all over the world. He was extremely active in the Quartzsite community, city coun- cil, and his church. Mike is preced- ed in death by his parents Harold, and Valerie. His brothers Tony, Nick, and Tim. His fi rst wife Car- ol, and children Mikey, Pam, and Karen. He is survived by his broth- ers Chris and Andy, and his wife Marie Jewitt. He is also survived by daughters Tina (Ed) Green, Su- zanne (Rob) Pysher, and stepchil- dren Judi (Hawk) Jackson, and Tim (Schuyler) Rider. His beloved grandchildren, Michael Green, Brittany Green, Aidan Pysher, Lauren Pysher, and great-grand- daughter Madison Green. He was genuinely liked and loved by many. He was giving and kind and will be missed by all. REV. JIMMY DALE LEROY MCCLELLAN, SR. Aug. 29, 1932 – Dec. 27, 2021 Dale McClellan, of Quartzsite, AZ went to be home with Jesus on Dec. 27, 2021, in La Paz Hospital, with his wife Debora at his side. Min- utes before taking his last breath, he opened his eyes and looked up. He looked up to his new residence, heaven. Dale was a two-year resident of Quartzsite. He and his wife Debora moved from Colorado. Although he spent over 20 years in Colorado, he always longed to be back in the des- ert. And so, it was to be. Dale is survived by his wife, Debo- ra of Quartzsite, son Bruce and wife Shari of Quartzsite, and son Dale McClellan, Jr. of Cahone, CO, and many grandchildren. Services will be held online at a later date. GEORGE MOBERLY George Moberly, age 73, passed away on December 22, 2021 in Lake Havasu, Arizona. He is survived by his siblings: Nancy (Bill), Alex (Joyce), Robin, Sherry (Rick), his former spouse Colleen and his chil- dren: Jerry, Maureen (Norm) and Sarah. Grandchildren: Ross (Steph- anie), Owen, Gage, Emmett, Jake and Ava and great grandchildren: Harper, Mac and Cru. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Enright, father Alex Francis Moberly and grandson Mac Killewald. George had an exceptional life. He grew up in Troy, MI in a mili- tary family. He spent 4-years of his childhood in Japan and Okina- wa. He joined the Army after high school and then he had a lifelong career at General Motors. His chil- dren meant more to him than any- thing. He loved gardening, nature and spending time hiking, fi shing and kayaking with his children. Af- ter he retired George loved to travel. He spent most of his time out west in Arizona where he eventually found his true calling in life at his church Isaiah. He volunteered at A celebration of life will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 29, 2022, with a potluck and fel- lowship to follow. All are welcome. Isaiah about fi ve days a week cook- ing, serving and ministering to the homeless. His heart was wide open and he shared his love for Christ with everyone that crossed his path. He will be laid to rest with his fa- ther at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI at a later date. In lieu of fl owers, please carry out George's love and passion for helping the homeless by supporting them in some way – donate food, clothing or volunteer.
