Cover charge is $7. Council approved Consent Agenda items Ledger of Accounts paid in the total amount of $656,166.68. November 23 regular meeting min- utes, and Liquor License Applica- tion for Series 6 Liquor License for the Quartzsite Yacht Club. Council authorized the Town Man- ager to sign two opioid litigation settlement agreements. By entering into these agreements, the Town may be eligible to share in the pro- ceeds that will be paid out over a several year period. The proceeds will only be expended on pre-deter- mined activities or equipment. Council authorized the Town Man- ager to enter into a professional services agreement with Willdan Fi- nancial Services to conduct a water and wastewater rate analysis that will include a long-term fi nancial plan. Willdan is the same compa- ny that has prepared previous rate analysis for the town utility depart- ment. The cost for services and fees is not to exceed $24,000. Council approved the temporary road closure of Tyson Street and Plymouth Avenue as requested by the Quartzsite Chamber of Com- merce for the Hi Jolly Daze Parade to be held on January 8, 2022. Chief Romo addressed safety concerns cited during the discussion. Council voted to approve the pre- liminary Transit Budget for fi scal year 2022-2023 in the amount of $272,223.00. This budget amount will be submitted to the Arizo- na Department of Transporta- tion for federal funding from the Federal Transit Authority (FTA). ADOT will award the fi nal funding amount depending on approved federal funding. Quartzsite Town Council meeting of January 11, 2022:Mayor Norm Simpson presented Assistant Town manager Cliff O'Neill a plaque for his years of service with the Town of Quartzsite. Mr. O'Neill will be retiring from his full-time position effective January 14, 2022. Council approved Consent Agenda items Ledger of Accounts paid in the total amount of $401,462.35 and the December 14, 2021 regular meeting minutes. Council authorized the Mayor to sign a contract with Google to par- ticipate in the GTFS system. This system will facilitate trip planning and scheduling on a regional ba- sis once the Town restarts the out- of-town trips to Lake Havasu and Yuma. There is no cost for partici- pation. Council conducted a fi nal Public Hearing on the proposed Transit Grant Application. The preliminary budget for the two-year grant cycle will be $272,223 broken down into a federal grant amount and a match amount from the Town General Fund. Council adopted Resolution No. 22-01 authorizing the Town Man- ager to execute documents between the Town and the Arizona State parks Grant Program to implement the Town Park Improvement Proj- ect. The Town was recently awarded $971,308 from the AZ State Parks and federal Land & Water Conser- vation Fund (LWCF). Council voted to schedule inter- views with seven prospective can- didates for the vacant Council seat on Saturday, January 15, starting at 9:30 am. The Special meeting is to be held at the Town Council Chambers.
