Bill, who graduated in 1951, always talks about his Gamma brothers who mean so much to him. So many of the personal relationships, that were established from the time he joined Gamma in 1949 and through the years since, have become great friends, advisers, supporters—brothers! Bill has always felt that what he learned from AGR was a significant factor in the success that he had as a farmer, businessperson, and community leader. Bill has been a very active alumnus from the time he graduated, and he always likes to share with undergraduates what AGR did for him. Brian, who graduated in 1972, has always said that AGR taught him how to be a leader. After graduation, he did not step foot into AGR for over 35 years. As he walked into Great Hall for Homecoming, he saw Bill Nichol '50 (Γ603), who was the president of the alumni association when he was an undergraduate; he greeted Bill, who said, "Welcome Back, Greek." After 35 years, Bill still remembered Brian as "Greek." Greek got on the board, became the president for four years, and remains very active. He still goes to the house periodically to have a Song Night, which is always well received by the undergraduates. Both of us have been consistent donors to Gamma. When the house was renovated, we were two of the major contributors to the effort. But there have been many brothers over the years who have donated to Gamma; many have even put Gamma into their wills. Brothers Charles Rightmire '50 (Γ600), Daniel Swope '40 (Γ452), Robert Roulston '50 (Γ611), and James Modeliszewski '53 (Γ662) left Gamma over $210,000 collectively. (Continued on page 2)
