CityViewNC.com | 27 In June of 2021, Fayetteville lost Charles "Chuck " Weber. You may not have met him personally, but you likely have driven by his communities over the years in Fayetteville. He began building multi-family apartments in the '80s, starting with Stewart's Creek, Meadow Pointe (formerly Applewood Apartments), Kings Cross, Kings Pointe, Westlake at Morganton, e Preserve at Grande Oaks and the finale, which is Addison Ridge Apartments, currently under the final phase of construction. Over the years, Morganton Management & Development constructed 1,777 units and significantly impacted the landscape of Morganton Road and Santa Fe Drive with beautifully designed luxury properties. Sadly, Weber was not able to witness the first lease on the final phase of 638 apartment homes. Shortly before his death, he was able to visit his beloved Addison Ridge and see the progress of the incredible office building, CrossFit gym and the new floor plans that he meticulously designed. His passion for excellence and perfection were felt even on his final days. Weber was a true visionary in apartment trends and construction. He wanted the residents to enjoy top amenities, such as state- of-the-art fitness centers with onsite trainers, movie theaters, beautifully designed pools and grand clubhouses. Each unique community evolved with his influences throughout. His appreciation and passion for the outdoors are evident, and he spared no expense when it came to landscaping his communities. ose who are dedicated to carrying on his legacy at Morganton Management & Development are proud to say they learned from one of the most talented builders and mentors. ey will always remember his encouraging words and advice: "Do not settle, find a way to achieve your goal. You do not have to know all the answers but find someone that does. Be direct, be honest and be respectful. Real estate doesn't have to be so serious. Don't lose your sense of humor; you will need it." At Morganton Management & Development, Weber's loss is still felt each day, but they will nevertheless proudly work toward providing Fayetteville the most luxurious apartment communities and to honor Charles Weber's memory with respect, humor and a passion for excellence.
