Significant Sig Bill "Jolly Green Giant" Pomeroy '66 had his wisdom teeth removed in October and is looking forward to the 70th reunion on April 2. Order of Constantine Sig Larry Mentz '68 turns 75 on November 5. Dan "Spurt" Burt '69 recently celebrated his 75th birthday. He enjoys traveling nationwide to visit his children and grandchildren. Jim "Crambell" Campbell '70 is still running his company in Wauconda, Ill. It is now Campbell International. John "KB" Krifka '70 recently moved to Holyoke, Mass. Several class of '71 members attended a Zoom meetup in honor of Joann "Sam" Wood's birthday. She is the widow of Gary "Slug" Wood '71, who joined the Chapter Eternal in 2015. Bob "FUBAR" Jones '73, Bill "Kid" Crowe '71, Larry "Grizzle" Frey '71, John "Chuck" Golden '71, Bob "Ruff" Hutnick '71, John "Leroy" Pfaff '71, and Bill "Turk" Wurst '71 were joined by former Sweetheart Patty Rist-Brown '71, Jim "Crambell" Campbell '70, and Tom "Hobie" Hey '72. PJ "Cos" Cosgrave '72 and his wife, Robin, just got back from the beaches of Normandy. Hobie hiked into (and back out of!) the Grand Canyon this year. Order of Constantine Sig Bob "Barney" Shortle '74 provided assistance to the family of Herb Arbeiter '72 during a difficult time prior to the passing of Herb's brother-in-law. A November 24 Zoom is planned in remembrance of Ken "Snags" Sullivan '73, who died in a car crash on his 50th birthday in 2001. Sharon, his widow, will be in attendance. Bill "Evil" Hanson '73 and his wife, Gail, joined Jean and Ruff for lunch in October. Evil and Gail head to Florida for a cruise in early November and hope to meet up with Chuck Shuey '75. Cos Saracino '72 and Joe Saracino '76 have threatened to join them for a bon voyage party. Alan "HJ" Hanbury '74 attended a couple of Red Sox playoff games at Fenway Park this fall. The master carpenter at Delta Psi pre-semester sessions for over 15 years has also added minister and two-time grandfather to his resume. Ed Youngkin '74 hosted HJ, Ruff, and Greg "Flip" Chilson '75 for a Belmont Stakes golf and dinner, but the racetrack was canceled due to COVID. Jeff Cooper '74 has joined the ranks of other SW Florida snowbirds Tom Regan '72, Don Wemple '75, and Jim Banghart '69. He is headed for Naples, where Al Lubrano '71 currently lives for more than half the year. Bob "Beo" Bedard '75 underwent heart valve surgery in September and is looking forward to hosting the Delta Psi initiation on November 13 at the old Masonic Temple, which he now owns. Bobby Joe Feldman '75 and his sons Michael and Sam Feldman '12 hit the ski slopes in Colorado this winter. Jim Board '75 had a shoulder replacement in May. During the surgery, doctors providentially discovered a possible heart malfunction. They inserted a 1.5-inch stent into his "widow maker," the same artery where Ruff had his stent placed in 2019. Shaz Majdi '76 has had some health issues recently and cut back on his hours at One, Two Kangaroo, his toy store in Arlington, Va. Michael Prescott '78 has relocated from Virginia to Newport, R.I. Ron DeMara '10 wed his fiancée, Natalie, in October in a beautiful ceremony in Mystic, Conn. Roddy Yagan '12 successfully passed his exams, and after an eight-year journey, has achieved certification as a Professional Engineer. Michael Hanson '12, son of Evil, will wed his fiancée, Alexis, in November. Adam Kaiser '15 is headed west, moving from Virginia to Denver. Andrew Greenstein '15 has been promoted to Sr. Supply Chain Operations Specialist at Audi. Chris Higley '17 and his wife Kelly welcomed a baby girl, Margaret Ann, in September. In May, Matthew Rettig '17 secured a job as Quality Engineer at Pulmonx Corporation. John Glendye '21 moved to Portland, Maine, where he accepted a position as Mechanical Engineer at Lighthouse Imaging. Kent Yamaguchi '21 has begun his career as a Process Engineer at W. L. Gore & Associates. Alumni Notes Stay in Touch Bob "Duker" Wilson '74, Bennett Green '72 with Toby the dog, and Bob "Barney" Shortle '74 visit in Houston.
