What are three words that come to
mind when you think of Alpha Eta?
"Great chapter, great people, a lot of fun."
–Joseph Sewell AH432
"Great companions." –Bill Strong AH588
"Great brothers, great dances, great times."
–Jack Defrees AH647
"Food, parties, brothers." –Robert Hanson
AH709
"Brotherhood, lasting friendships."
–Jim Stockard AH708
"Personal growth, brotherhood, leadership."
–Jim Robson AH865
What memories do you have from
your time at Lambda Chi?
"I was very active with Chapter members. They
were the older members and most served in the
Service Key and knew how to get along."
–Joseph Sewell AH432
"Fun, fun, fun." –Bill Strong AH588
"I enjoyed house decorating with sororities
and associating with the brothers. A brother's
girlfriend, who he later married, introduced me
to a beautiful woman who I later pinned. The
pinning ceremony was at Stout Hall where my
brothers gathered and sang the 'Whiffenpoofs'
song while I pinned her. She later became my
wife. The pinning ceremony was a big deal, and
we spent hours practicing, so it was the best
known on campus." –Jack Defrees AH647
"Saturday steak dinners, meetings, exchange
functions with sororities, and singing."
–Robert Hanson AH709
"Sorority mixers on Mondays, intramurals
sports (especially softball), watching other
brothers playing touch football, basketball, and
volleyball." –Jim Stockard AH708
"The 1966 intramural track and winning the
400-meter relay. We coined the phrase afterward,
'You gotta know the rules.'" –Jim Robson AH865
"I loved the friendships I made. As a shy kid,
it was great making so many friends in such a
short time. ΛXA helped me come out of my
shell and become the man I am today."
–Darin Moden AH1558
