We need to do better. By "we," we mean Alpha Gamma alumni as a whole—that means most of you reading this. We've decided now is not the time to close this campaign. ose of you following the construction process know that we had to fund interim housing for our undergraduates. Our original goal also leaves us with a debt to finish paying over the next few years, and we do not want to put such a burden on our younger brothers. e more dollars we can raise now will prevent the collegians from paying unnecessary interest in the future. Aer careful thought, we are increasing our goal. is creates a larger opportunity to decrease our mortgage for the future, which requires increased participation—or any participation from those of you who have yet to contribute! We have all benefitted from our AGR experience—friendships, school and career success, and much more. is impact extends to our professional lives too; AGR brothers are leaders in the corporate and government sectors that influence agriculture on a daily basis. We ask you to demonstrate the positive impact of AGR by supporting this campaign. It's not the individual amount that counts; every dollar from every brother is appreciated. Reaching our $3.5 million goal is certainly impressive, but we know we can do better if even half our alumni are on board. Alpha Gamma is trending up despite having to overcome several unforeseen challenges brought about by the pandemic. at doesn't mean it's been an easy two years for our undergraduates, by any means. MORE FUNDS NEEDED FOR AGR'S FUTURE ALPHA GAMMA URGES YOU (YES, YOU) TO GET ON BOARD ey need to know that we as alumni will always have their back. Brothers have said that they would not have made it without AGR. We need to ensure that same experience for the next generation. e last three years have been a good start; now let's do that much better. By getting involved today, you can prove to Alpha Gamma that we have something to celebrate for Founder's Day on January 22. Yours in the brotherhood, W. Bernard Lester '58, Edward Smoak '68 Campaign Co-Chairman Campaign Co-Chairman Adam Putnam '92 Dr. Jimmy G. Cheek '93 Campaign Co-Chairman Honorary Campaign Chairman Peter Chaires '87, Robbie Sistrunk '18, and Ed Smoak '68 proceed with the ribbon cutting on our new home.
