A local nonprofit working to make life better for all, Venice MainStreet, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) that collaborates with the city of Venice and other community groups to preserve and enhance the historic character of Venice, while also promoting and encouraging the economic and community vitality of Venice. We achieve our goals by bringing interesting events to attract visitors and to enhance the lifestyle of our local residents, as well as through investing in amenities and infrastructure in historic downtown Venice. Venice MainStreet encourages business and community partners to be involved in the direction of the organization by joining, participating in committees and serving on the Board of Directors. Venice MainStreet, Inc. has a defined district. These distinct geographic borders keep the organization's efforts defined and focused. During outreach and marketing campaigns, VMS also promotes all Venice amenities (beach, pier, jetty, historical and cultural organizations, etc.) because these add value to Venice for Downtown Venice Welcome to hist ic Welcome to hist ic our visitors and residents and enhance our culture and lifestyle. Venice MainStreet is an accredited Main Street organization through the Florida Main Street Program and Main Street America. Saves tax dollars Revitalization stabilizes and improves the area's tax base, while also protecting existing investments. Preserves the community's historic resources In an economically healthy downtown, property owners can aff ord to maintain their historic buildings and preserve an important part of the community's heritage.
