According to a Sarasota County website, this 81- acre preserve provides recreational activities such as hiking, biking, paddling, birding and wildlife viewing. Visitors can walk along the preserve's trails to observe a variety of native habitats, including longleaf pine flatwoods, scrubby flatwoods and a narrow mangrove fringe along the creek. The writer, working for the Visit Sarasota website, has a lot of superlatives to cover when selling Caspersen Beach to the browsing public.
