The Squirrel's Nest 2 CELEBRATING PSI CHAPTER Freshman Forum, Miracle League, and Al's Pals. The chapter is thrilled to have Fifth Quarter return for this football season. After home football games, we partner with members of Phi Gamma Delta to package leftover food in the north and south zones of Bryant Denny to be delivered to those in need in the Tuscaloosa community. FALL ACTIVITIES This semester has called for an increase of opportunities for new and active members to be able to connect and reconnect with their peers. Members arrived on August 1 to prepare for the 2021 pledge class during Workshop Week. Each of these days consisted of fun snacks, photo opportunities, impromptu dance parties, "Fitness Marshall" (a popular YouTuber with dance workout videos), informational speakers, and even pledge class movie nights under the new lights on our back porch to decompress after a long day's work. Our chapter snacks and weekly happies have included sweet treats from Edgar's Bakery, Blenz Bowls, Krispy Kreme, Whattaburger, and Babe's Donuts, just to name a few! In addition, Vice President of Member Experience Mary Catherine Kelly '18 and her team gifted each member with a silk pillowcase as mid-semester encouragement. During the last Fried Friday meal of every month, we hold a birthday celebration with a slideshow highlighting each recent birthday, fun music, photo opportunities, and even delicious birthday cake. These days are always a hit for our members and Fried Friday guests. On September 29, we celebrated our wonderful house mom, Ms. Jeanette. Our Marketing, Property, and Member Experience Vice Presidents and teams planned a daylong celebration with stickers, cake, photos, and gifts. After a special meal prepared by Chef Travis, Ms. Jeanette joined the 2018 pledge class in their cookie decorating class with honorary alumna Kathy Fort. Simultaneously, pledge classes of (Continued from page 1) 2019 and 2020 were participating in their own pledge class events, including a back porch movie night for the juniors and smoothies and a Tru40 chapter room workout class, taught by our very own Tru40 instructor, Lauren Bingham '20. Saturdays are easily our favorite days here, as we get to celebrate the Tide with our sisters, friends, and family members visiting for the weekend. Our game day meals at the house took place before the Southern Miss, Ole Miss and Tennessee games. We were excited to welcome guests back into our home. Our beautiful new dining room tables came in at the start of classes—perfect timing for us to host our guests during football season! 2021 NEW MEMBERS We are so excited to officially welcome our new Alpha Gams as initiated members. The best years in this sisterhood lie ahead of you, and we look forward to all the memories and life moments we will get to share together. Parents, thank you for sharing your daughters with us! LOOKING AHEAD We are excited to welcome our new executive officers for the 2021-22 board. Elections were held on October 10. The University of Alabama's Homecoming game also took place in October. This was the first Homecoming in two years, so our members were thrilled to participate in the week's festivities and competitions, such as the choreography competition, parade, sporting events, and lawn competition. Our very own Sarah Bittner '18 served as Executive Director of Homecoming this year! Be sure to think of Psi on November 18. Happy 100 years to an incredible and strong sisterhood. Thank you each for what you mean to it, shaping it to be what it is today. Loyally, Camryn Shields '18 Chapter President Some of our new members of Psi.
