I
I
am pleased to report that the
Celebration of Excellence held
on October 9 was a tremendous
success.
The following achievements were
highlighted:
• 2020 John O. Mosley Award for
Fraternity Zeal
• Fall 2020 Highest Fraternity GPA
• 2021 Fraternity Chapter of the
Year at Kansas State University
• 2021 Chapter Award of
Distinction from North American
Interfraternity Conference
Alumni enjoyed tours of the chapter
house throughout the weekend. I heard
favorable remarks about the condition
of the house and grounds thanks
to significant recent improvements.
Many said it was the best the chapter
house has looked in over 50 years. A
special thanks to Bill Shaw '75 and the
active chapter for their hard work and
preparation.
More than 250 people attended the
Saturday evening dinner and dance.
We were pleased to have Richard
Myers '65, President of Kansas State
University; Christopher Hancock '96,
Eminent Supreme Recorder and CEO
of Sigma Alpha Epsilon National; and
Michael McRee, COO of the North
American Interfraternity Conference, on
KANSAS BETA'S
CELEBRATION
OF EXCELLENCE
A HUGE SUCCESS
hand for the award presentations and
remarks. In addition, many of the recent
graduates and former chapter officers
who lead Kansas Beta to its current
level of success were in attendance,
as was Province Zeta Archon Michael
Kimberlin, Fort Hays '01. We were
especially pleased to welcome Jack
Whittier '57 back to campus and the
chapter. For more information and
photos, go to saeksu.net.
As you read in the update from Eminent
Archon Parker Larson '23, we have
much to be proud of as it relates to the
ongoing strong performance from our
KSU President Richard Myers '65,
his wife Mary Jo, and SAE CEO
Christopher Hancock '96.
Brothers celebrate success.
undergraduate brothers. Kansas Beta
aspires to remain a top chapter in terms
of academics, athletics, social events,
philanthropy, and community service.
Over the last several years, we have
worked aggressively to fill the chapter
house with quality men, significantly
improve the physical structure, and
carefully manage our finances.
Recruitment is a year-round activity and
the critical lifeblood of the chapter. If you
are aware of any potential new members,
please contact me, Recruitment
