Mara DaPonte is the proud owner and operator of Sassy Beaches Salon and Spa. She opened in May of 2017 in the community she is happy to raise her newly born beautiful baby girl, Aurora Jolie. Mara currently holds licenses in three states Florida, Pennsylvania, and New York. Mara has obtained many certifi cations in her career. The most recent certifi cation was an in depth cutting and styling class at the MoroccanOil Academy in NYC. She is now a color educator for Schwarzkopf Professional. Mara has been a stylist for 14 years. The salon has partnered with quality product lines, such as MoroccanOil, a well known brand with a complete body line along with styling products, Unite, a vegan and PETA certifi ed line that even has vegan solutions for our furry friends, and Keratin Complex, a more natural and personalized keratin treatment. Andrea is a seasoned executive who recently celebrated her 30th year with the hospital in clinical and management roles. Under her leadership as Assistant Nursing Offi cer, the hospital has received 18 consecutive "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, a national distinction recognizing achievements protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections. She has led high-level projects and is currently overseeing the expansion of the Emergency Department. My passion for cooking was a sideline event, doing parties and catering for small events. It was always my dream to open a catering company, so when my husband, Kenny, retired in 2008, we moved to Florida, and my dream became a reality. Clients were always asking me for the recipe, or how come there dish didn't taste like mine, etc so from that we created and sold spices and seasoning blends at a fl ea market and farmers markets. A year later we out grew our mobile kitchen, and opened a storefront in Venice Florida to accommodate the growing need for education and demand for small samplets of spices, expanding to include tea and kitchen gadgets. The next step has just been taken. The ability to serve our clients with an on-line store featuring our custom made spice blends and teas made fresh to order for the distinguished pallet.
