here were more than 200 nominations for inclusion in this special edition of the global magazine. Criteria included: Leading the development of a company's short- and long-term strategy; creating and implementing the company or organization's vision and mission; and evaluating the work of other executive leaders within the company, including directors, vice presidents and presidents. They also looked at how nominees maintained awareness of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, industry developments, etc.; how they ensured that the company maintains high social responsibility wherever it does business; how they assess risks to the company and ensure they are monitored and minimized; and how they set strategic goals and make sure they are measurable and describable. Sackett's nomination was proff ered by a seasoned market research team that tracks the pioneering leaders in the marketplace for Industry Era, a magazine that is not geography or industry specific. Sackett was promoted to her current role – senior director for the southeast business unit – in February. She was hired by PGT in 2016 as a senior strategic marketing manager and has since increased her responsibilities to driving the southeastern unit marketing team by overseeing projects related to brand, product management, channel development, and digital strategy. Sackett, according to information provided by PGT, is "a dynamic leader with a talent for developing and empowering her team members to achieve the highest levels of performance by envisioning ways to transform how the company and brands have traditionally operated." Prior to joining PGT Innovations, Sackett worked for ThermaTru Doors and Masco Corporation in multiple marketing and product management roles. She holds a bachelor's degree in business management and an MBA with a specialization in marketing from Eastern Michigan University.
