SIGMA CHI University of Mississippi P.O. Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested Standard Bearer The A t Eta Chapter, we have achieved a number of wonderful accomplishments throughout 2021. Earlier this year, we raised over $35,000 for Derby Days and demonstrated what being a member of Sigma Chi is all about. Members raised money through a crawfish boil, blood donation, and silent auction. All donations made to Derby Days were given to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Sunflower County Freedom Project. Several members were given the opportunity to see the effects of our donations on these wonderful institutions. One member in attendance was blown away by the gratitude that the employees and patients have toward Sigma Chi and our donations made every year. We also want to celebrate being awarded our fourth consecutive Peterson Award. The Peterson Award is given to the most prestigious chapters each year. In other great news, alumni and members have raised more than $2.4 million of our $2.5 million goal to begin a complete remodel of the Eta chapter house. Now, this renovation is getting its final touches and will be completely finished in November 2021. With normalcy returning, members have been excited to join with each other again in large, in-person settings. We have now welcomed a freshman class of 73 new members from 20 different states. We have enjoyed getting to know these men and learn more about their backgrounds.
