There are many reasons to be hopeful about what the future holds. We're pleased to share that Maryland Alpha's collegians have overcome various challenges to maintain Phi Delta Theta's tradition of being a premier Greek organization at the University of Maryland. While the collegians should be commended for their hard work in recent months, they'll be the first to tell you that they haven't been alone in contributing to Maryland Alpha's success. The alumni who have generously given $14,125 to Maryland Alpha's House Corporation fund have honored their lifelong commitment to Phi Delt when our brotherhood has needed it most. As we build upon Maryland Alpha's bright future, we're calling upon you to join our loyal brothers in donating to the house corporation fund today! The time has come to purchase a new HVAC system for the chapter house. While the current system has served Maryland Alpha well, it's now 30 years old and is simply no longer up to par. The new HVAC system will cost roughly $50,000, but it will be well worth it to ensure that our undergraduate brothers are living comfortably while raising the bar for fraternity life on campus. We also want YOU to enjoy your experience whenever you return to College Park and visit the chapter house. We hope that you'll join us on Nov. 5 for happy hour at R.J. Bentley's.. While it was wonderful to hear stories about how brothers organized reunions on virtual platforms this past year, we can't wait to see many of you in person for this and other upcoming events. We hope you know that you've helped Maryland Alpha get to where it is today—a brotherhood so strong that it can add to its long list of accomplishments even during a pandemic. There's so much to be optimistic about, and it's important to us that you're a part of it. Save the Date 90th Anniversary (Belated) Celebration Regrettably, yet hopefully understandably, we have decided to postpone our 90th Anniversary (Belated) Celebration due to COVID restrictions. However, we will make plans to have Anniversary Celebration next fall (fall of 2022). Be on the lookout for additional details as next fall approaches. In the meantime, we will have a happy hour on Friday, November 5, 2021, at R.J. Bentley's (7323 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD) from 5-7 p.m. for all Maryland Alpha alumni and their significant others. There is no cost to attend, and we will have a cash bar. We hope to see you there!
