I
t was Mahatma Ghandi who said, "the best way to find yourself is
to lose yourself in the service of others." For the second straight
year, CityView readers are helping to shine a light on those in
our community who are choosing to serve others. Each of the
nominations we received for this year's Power of Giving Community
Impact Awards, presented by PWC, were truly outstanding. Our panel
of judges, all community leaders who can attest to the power of giving,
selected our winners aer much deliberation. On the following pages, we
feature the stories of this year's winners. We invite you to join us as we
recognize them and celebrate this season of giving at a luncheon Nov. 16
at 11:30 a.m. at Segra Stadium. CityView publisher Tony Chavonne will
serve as keynote speaker. Go to cityviewnc.com for tickets.
